Musikalische Moderne: Hoffnung 2
Program note:
The second concert, HOFFNUNG 2, contrasts Russian and Viennese modernism. The impressive works of composer Alexander Scriabin hold a special place in the pantheon of modernity and in the concert program. The poetry of the poet Marina Tsvetaeva is presented in a translation by Professor of Slavic Studies Felix Philipp Ingold, who is an emeritus professor at HSG and a world-renowned authority. Song cycles of the New Viennese School, performed by the incomparable St. Gallen singer Mona Somm, complete the experience.
